The world of amateur radio operation is becoming increasingly project-oriented. By this, we mean that we turn on the radio when there is an expedition, an activity, or a contest. Otherwise, even during good propagation, the bands are often empty.
There hasn’t been a specific contest designed to put young amateur radio operators in a sought-after position.
The Hungarian Amateur Radio Society, with the support of the IARU Region 1 YOTA working group, created the YOTA contest to introduce young amateur radio operators to the joy of contesting. It provides an opportunity for them to get to know each other and for the world to get to know them. Here, they are the main focus!
We’re looking forward to seeing you at the International YOTA Contest!
