Did we forget about the power distinction in categories?
We have intentionally not added power categories due to the fact that in some countries it’s 400W, in some it’s 750W, others 1.5kW. As well, we don’t have resources to check legally whether the station is really entering in LP or QRP. Considering these, for the first time we hold the contest without power categories.
Is the 3rd round really held on Thursday, 30th of December 2024?
Yes, it is.
Do we not have separate CW and SSB categories, or single band categories?
No we don’t have. We would like to encourage youngsters and other participants to work in both modes. We would also like to encourage them to improve their license levels if they have any band restrictions, or there is 3 bands category to take if they would like.
If I have a youngster friend and I let that person work as an operator under my callsign, I don’t work a single QSO but the youngster makes all the QSOs. Does this count as single or multi operator? Shall it be a youngster category?
If one operator handles all QSOs, it counts as a single operator. You can qualify as a station sponsor though, if you send us some photos. It should definitely be a youth category if age is ≤ 25. Further, if you supervise a youngster during the activity please read, understand and respect paragraph 15.h. of our rules.
Does every age (also over 25) count as a multiplier?
Yes, it does.
If I work a youngster, do I get for example 10 + 3 points if it’s also DX?
No, if you work a youngster, you’ll get 10, 11, 12 or 13 points based on their age, regardless of continent.
